An onsite inspection is not required for garage door automation. Your garage door just need to meet the following basic requirements:

• Garage Door is in good working condition
• There is a standard Powerpoint within your garage
• There is sufficient headroom or sideroom.
• The garage door is within the size you have stated. Additional cost applies if garage door is significantly larger than stated.
• There is an alternative access into your garage. If not, we recommend installing an external key release (additional cost).

Not sure about what type of Garage Door you have? You will be suprised to know 70% of our Customers do not know as well. When you contact us for a quote, it will help if you know what type of garage door you have, read the following to find out more about the following type of garage doors:

• Sectional / Panel Garage Doors – A sectional or panel door has 4 or 5 panels joined together internally by hinges. It has wheels that travel on tracks on the sides.
• Tilt Doors – A 1 piece door which swings out when it opens
• Roller Doors – rolls up into 1 big roll up the top when it opens

When you wish to proceed with a job, our Rep will clearly outline the possible additional costs. These might include:

• Garage door servicing cost – if your door is VERY old and needs a major service
• Powerpoints – if you do not have a standard powerpoint, you might need to organise for 1 with your own electrician.A standard powerpoint ranges from $150 – $180.
• External Key Release – if you have no alternative access into the garage, you will need to install an additional key release on the outside of your garage door. This is optional but recommended. The cost ranges from $90 – $110
• Extra high ceiling – if your garage has high ceiling, there is a possible $30 extra to use additional brackets
• Limited sideroom – if your garage door is extremely tight, or it’s very close to the sidewall, please let us know so we can advise suitable model of motors and any possible extra installation cost.

MyQ technology is the latest buzz nowadays. It enables you to operate your garage door while you’re away, through the Internet. If this is what you’re interested in, please choose a motor which says “MyQ Compatible”. Speak to our Rep about this and we will advise what additional accessories you need to purchase to make this happen.

No. We’ve automated too many garage doors to know what to check before coming out, so we do not need an onsite visit. We will ask you a few questions and provide a firm quote based on the size, type & condition of your door. We will also go through all the requirements to make sure your garage door is ready for automation. Once we come out to do the job, if there’s any problem and it can’t be done.. there will be no fees or charges!
